Please read the attached PDF carefully which provides full details on all of today’s activities. A brief description has been provided below. Remember you all have the necessary log in details required. They are inside the front cover of your home learning books.
Morning Home Learning Activities
- Morning Maths – For today’s learning please login to My Maths https://www.mymaths.co.uk/. You will find activities to complete in the homework area when you login. We will be able to see your answers and marks, please make sure you reply to every question and click submit at the end so it saves all your answers. You can attempt these tasks more than once, so if you want to try and improve your score you can.
- English Writing – Log into Seesaw click on the task ‘Wednesday 8th July Reading into Writing’. Today we’re going to look at dangers in the home. You have been given a picture of a kitchen with various hazards. Using the tools on Seesaw you need to circle all the dangers you can see and record the number below. Write today’s date and LO: To identify dangers in a kitchen.
Then in your home learning book you’re going to create a table, with the headings dangers and solutions. Then underneath in your table you’re going to write a list of 5 of the dangers you have identified and why it is dangerous. Then in the opposite column you’re going to write a solution to make that danger safe.
For example, The baby crawling on the floor heading towards the electrical cable is dangerous because he could put his fingers in the socket and electrocute himself. The parents need to either hold him or put him in a safe place.
- Guided Reading – Please login into Seesaw and click the activity called ‘Wednesday 8th July – Guided Reading’ then record your written task in your English Home Learning Book.
Afternoon Weekly Project – You have been working really hard over the past few weeks, therefore this week is going to be a fun Art week. All these activities will be assigned through Seesaw and can be completed using the tools available.
Don’t forget to take pictures of your work when asked to and upload them to seesaw so Miss Ward and Mrs Fielding can see the fantastic work you’ve been up to.
