Remembrance Service

Today, we held our own Remembrance service to honour those brave men and women who have fought for their country. We each made our poppy, which held the name of a soldier who died in WW1. Each poppy was planted, row upon row, in our own remembrance garden. Year 6 then led the service at the front of the school culminating in a two minute silence to remember the fallen.

‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’
