Nursery Home Learning Friday 3rd April

Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves

Good Morning everyone! You have once again done a super job with all the activities we have planned for you this week. Have a good day today, and a lovely weekend, and we will be back on Monday with more exciting challenges!

Todays home learning is all about another of our favourite stories in Nursery, The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Firstly share the story by following this link.

We would like you to now talk together to retell the story. We have included some questions you could work through as a starting point. How does the story begin? What did the caterpillar eat first? What does the caterpillar eat last? How did the caterpillar feel after eating a lot? How long did the caterpillar stay in the cocoon? You could give your child a choice of two options if they are struggling to recall parts of the story, e.g. Where does the egg start in the story? On a leaf or in a tree?

Can you tell your grown up your favourite part of the story? Why do you like this bit? Were there any parts of the story you didn’t like?

The caterpillar eats different food items on different days of the week, can you share our days of the week song with your grown ups? Follow this link to find the song, and help you with the rhyme! Can you remember what food the caterpillar ate on each day?

Today, as an afternoon activity why not make a healthy snack with your grown ups? We would love to see what you make!

Follow this link if you would like some Friday yoga! This week it is The Very Hungry Caterpillar themed!

Well done everyone! Have a lovely weekend.
