Keeping busy at home
Well done on another productive week of learning at home everybody! We have loved the emails and pictures showing us everything you have been doing. Don’t forget to get in touch each week to let us know how you are getting on.
This week we have focussed on ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar.’ We started the week by watching the story and talking about the different fruits the caterpillar eats on each day. Later in the week we then watched the author reading the story and talked about what happened next, to see how much of the story we could all remember!
We have also been matching numeral to quantity, both on our interactive caterpillar game, and using our own drawings and the number cards in our home learning packs. Looking at pictures of butterflies, we investigated what we notice about their wings. We realised they were the same on both sides, and introduced the word symmetrical! We then had a go at creating our own symmetrical butterflies. Some of us used pencils, some used paint, and some even used collage!
Towards the end of the week we looked at the lifecycle of a butterfly and created our own lifecycle, we learnt there are four main parts to a butterflies lifecycle, can you remember them all?
As well as all this, we have spent time with our families enjoying the weather and the outdoors safely. Well done to all, and have a lovely weekend.
