SEESAW- Activity one- Maths- Can you complete the questions adding and taking away tens to a three digit number. Lets count in our tens- 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120. Each number gets bigger by adding on ten. SO, when we are adding a ten or an amount of tens like 50 to a three digit number, which number will change? The tens column will get bigger.
For example- 120 + 50 =
If we look at the tens columns (2 or 20) and (5 or 50) these are the numbers which will change. Therefor, 120 + 50 = 100 +20 + 50 = 170
Activity two – Vocabulary organiser- You must think of a word to put into the centre. For example – Flustered. You must find the definition of the word- what does the word mean? Next, draw an image using the word in your illustration. Then building on from yesterday, can you find an antonym and synonym for the word. Finally, can you think of two sentences including the words.
Activity three- The continents of the world. How many are there? Can you remember the song? Can you record yourself signing it? Then label the continents. Finally, can you use https://swiggle.org.uk/ search engine to research one continent? What information can you find out? Create a poster to show all of the information.
