Tuesday 7th July Home Learning Activities

Good Morning Year 2 – Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves

Please read the attached PDF carefully which provides full details on all of today’s activities. A brief description has been provided below. Remember you all have the necessary log in details required. They are inside the front cover of your home learning books.

     Morning Home Learning Activities

  • Morning Maths – For today’s learning please login to My Maths https://www.mymaths.co.uk/. You will find activities to complete in the homework area when you login. We will be able to see your answers and marks, please make sure you reply to every question and click submit at the end so it saves all your answers. You can attempt these tasks more than once, so if you want to try and improve your score you can.
  • English Writing – Log into Seesaw click on the task ‘Tuesday 7th  July Reading into Writing’. Today we are going to take a look back at some of the memories of this year. I know this year has been very different and we have had major changes especially in the last term. However, we still did many memorable things during our time in Year 2 and today I want you to write about them. I want you to write a year review, I have attached a template of different types of questions to think about. Use these questions to help write your sentences. Write a minimum of 2 to 3 sentences for each box. I want you to complete this task in your home learning books NOT on the sheet as the boxes are very small.

Think about things like; – Your favourite memory? – What trips did you like? – Did you learn to do something? – What was your favourite topic? – Have you made any friends? – Do you have any funny moments which made you laugh?

Remember to write today’s date and the LO: My year in Year 2. Please also remember to present your work neatly.

  • Guided Reading – Please login into Seesaw and click the activity called ‘Tuesday 7th July – Guided Reading’ then record your written task in your English Home Learning Book.

Afternoon Activities

Afternoon Weekly Project –  You have been working really hard over the past few weeks, therefore this week is going to be a fun Art week.  We are going to set a range of different Art activities each day to keep you busy. These will involve drawing, colouring and some handy craft work. All these activities will be assigned through Seesaw and can be completed using the tools available.

Don’t forget to take pictures of your work when asked to and upload them to seesaw so Miss Ward and Mrs Fielding can see the fantastic work you’ve been up to. If you have any questions or queries, please email Miss Ward (teacherbirch@boundary.blackpool.sch.uk) and Mrs Fielding (teacherelm@boundary.blackpool.sch.uk) who will be more than happy to help.
