Today is the last day where daily learning learning tasks will be set, as tomorrow it is the Easter Holidays! Happy Easter! Daily learning tasks will resume from Monday 20th April. However, we have created a fun Easter pack which will keep you all busy over the next week. It is on here, our year 1 page.
Todays learning ….
Watch the sound ea – Click here Can you find any objects with this sound in around your home?
Write down some of the phonics words you have read in your busy book. Don’t forget to take a photo and upload it to seesaw so we can see your learning.
Play Rocket Rescue Phase 3 Click here
Watch the video Click hereWhat are the children doing? Have you ever made a sandcastle before? Could you write a set of instruction for someone who doesn’t know how to make a sandcastle? Don’t forget to use time connectives, finally, first, next, then, after – are these in the correct order?
Lets learn to tell the time – O’clock and Half Past.
Do you have an analogue clock in your house? Or even a watch that has hour and minute hands on it? If not there are lots of online games that can help. This is one of them … Click here (Remember just to the hour and half hour).
This is a task that will take some time; it will involve looking at the time every day, if possible and practising over and over again! Being able to tell the time is a great skill to have and one that is so important. If you can tell the time you will know when it is break and dinner time at school. We have dinner at 12 O’clock!
Log in to oxford owls and read one of your books. Record yourself on seesaw telling us what you did or did not like about the book and why.
Parents you can log onto Oxford Owl and create an account – it is free. Then search for E books, and choose phonics level 2, 3 or 5 depending on you child. Your child’s phonics level is also in the letter information pack you received.
Chosen afternoon activity
Choose your own activity from the ‘afternoon activities table’ in your home learning letter and complete it in your busy book. Feel free to send us any pictures on seesaw of your learning.
In addition to the above, we are also adding daily tasks to Seesaw which I know a lot of you are enjoying completing. We love seeing your videos, pictures and completed work – Please keep sending them to us JCompleting any work on Seesaw allows us to provide feedback on how you have done and give possible next steps. This is working really well. If you have any questions about anything at all you can contact us through our class email addresses or through Seesaw. All this information is in your home learning letter too. Thank you.
