Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves
Log into Oxford Owl and read the Read Write Inc book ‘Skateboard Sid’. Turn to page 6/7. With an adult practice segmenting and blending the green words. Don’t forget to use your robot arms to sound them out. Then have a go at reading some of the read words. This are all tricky words so an adult might need to help you read them. Read the story to your grown up. Remember if you can’t read a word carefully segment the sounds and then blend them together to read them. When you have finished talk to your grown up about the story. What tricks can Sid do on his skateboard? What does Ben think of Sid? What does Sid do when he spots the trap? How does Ben feel about Sid zig-zagging the trap?
What was your favourite part of the story? Draw a picture and write a sentence e.g. Ben was mad that Sid zig zagged the trap.

In maths today we are going to be thinking about different 3D shapes. What the 3D shape song using the video below.
Have a look around your house and garden for different 3D shapes e.g. cone, cube, cuboid, cylinder or a sphere. What did 3D shapes can you find? Can you sort the shapes and make a label for them. Talk to an adult about their properties. How many faces do they have? Can you find the edges? How many vertices are there? Are the faces flat or curved?
Take some pictures of the shapes you find and send them to your teacher.
