Home Learning Tuesday 7th April
Here is today’s Learning at Home. Remember, to try your best! We believe in you! #BoundaryBelieves
Good Morning everyone, we hope you are all feeling ok and staying positive.
Today’s home learning is to share the story “We’re Going on an Egg Hunt”. You might notice that the story is similar to one you have read before. What story is it similar too? Are there any differences? Which story do you prefer?
Watch the story again and discuss that under each flap with an egg there is a numeral, can you match this number to one of your number cards? Count on each page how many eggs the rabbits have collected. As the rabbits are running away, you can draw children’s attention to the number of eggs they have dropped. Count the final number of eggs that the rabbits have and compare this with the total that the wolf has picked up.
To get the children ready to learn their letter sounds when they go in to Reception, it is really important that they have good listening skills and can identify different sounds. Click on the link here to play a listening game together called “Welcome To The Zoo” . The children will hear different animal sounds and have to match the sound to the correct picture. The website is called Phonics Play and they are allowing people to use their games for free to support home schooling. The login details are as follows username: march20 password: home
Have a lovely day!
