Think about the adjectives and descriptive language we looked at last week. Remember to use to improve your vocabulary. Don’t use words like nice and good really make your adjectives powerful. Once you’ve generated your word back use the additional sheets to write detailed sentences to describe the beach setting. Use the WAGOLL sentences to help you. Don’t forget to present your work neatly, spelling known words correctly and using and applying the appropriate punctuation.
  • Guided Reading – Please login into Seesaw and click the activity called ‘Monday 18th May- Guided Reading’ then record your written task in your English Home Learning Book.

Afternoon Activities

Afternoon Weekly Project – To keep your busy in the afternoon this week we want you to get creative again. This week we want you to dress up as either your favourite TV character, person or superhero. Your task will then be to explain as much as you can about your character. We don’t want or expect you to go out and buy anything new, try and use what you have already. You might need to make a hat, weapon, chest logo, features of a costume or paint your face a different colour.

Once you have dressed up you can either send us a video to explain who your character is or take a photo and then write a character profile in your book. If you’re sending a video of your character make sure you answer all the questions so we can find out as much information as possible about who they are.

Log into Seesaw and click the activity ‘Favourite Characters’ for further guidance and supportive questions to help you complete this task.

Miss Ward and Miss fielding are exciting to see who you all choose.

Don’t forget to take pictures of your work when asked to and upload them to seesaw so Miss Ward and Mrs Fielding can see the fantastic work you’ve been up to. If you have any questions or queries, please email Miss Ward ( and Mrs Fielding ( who will be more than happy to help.
